Alfredo Lista Garma has worked as a graphic designer for THE PROFIT COMPANY LIMITED, RFD PUBLICATIONS, FONG, MALVANEY GONZALEZ & REED ADVERTISING, and THE ART DIRECTORS INTERNATIONAL.
He opened his design studio in 1988, and in 2018, GARMA GRAPHIC DESIGN became ARTSMART DESIGN.
In 1992 he was honored with the “OUTSTANDING YOUNG ADVERTISING PERSON OF THE YEAR” award by the HAWAII ADVERTISING FEDERATION.
He has served as Communications Chairman and Public Service Chairman for the HAWAII ADVERTISING FEDERATION and as Vice President and President of the AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF GRAPHIC ARTS - HONOLULU CHAPTER.
He has garnered AMERICAN ADVERTISING FEDERATION PELE AWARDS for Illustration, Environmental Graphics, Print Advertising, Specialty Advertising Materials and Brand Identity.
His work has been published in SOCIETY OF PUBLICATION DESIGNERS ANNUAL, PRINT MAGAZINE’S NATIONAL DESIGN ANNUALS, PRINT’S BEST LOGOS & SYMBOLS CASE BOOKS and THE POWER OF LOGOS BOOK.
In 2017 and 2018, he instructed in the COMMUNICATION ARTS PROGRAM at HONOLULU COMMUNITY COLLEGE.
